Skunk Bacon

Skunk Bacon

I was just watching my favorite Travel Channel show, No Reservations. Tony was busy with Las Vegas paint balling and I began to wonder, "Where's the food?" and why hasn't Tony fallen over due to unreasonable amounts of alcohol? Why hasn't he visited some interesting house of hookers or gambled till he dropped?

My brain works differently than most and I began to wonder why we don't see small critters in the butcher shops that much? Really. What happened to experimenting with prolific wild life?

Why don't we see skunk bacon on any menus?

Why doesn't any Steak and Shake offer armadillo steaks?

For fine dining, why are there no porcupine chops?

Does your local WalMart offer rabbit or possum burger?

Where is the squirrel pie at Denny's?

Is there a rat stew at Ryan's? I KNOW there are plenty of rats. Why no rat stew or nutria stew?

Our food choices are weird. We rejoice in raw seafood, pay hundred$ for a meal but in the South, there is no catfish sashimi. I am troubled by this.

There is little evidence of crayfish sashimi either and try as I might, I have yet to find chitlin / chitterling sashimi.

OK don't get your shorts in a curl. I think all raw flesh should all be called sashimi.

We eat raw beef and call it steak tartare, but its just cow sashimi.

You actually think its easy being insane, don't you?

I will try to keep you posted on other troubles I have. There are many.
