Redundancies in Government

Redundancies in Government

This has confused me for decades, so many of the various government agencies doing about the same thing.

CIA / FBI / NSA for instance. Now the point of each of these, with the very well paid TOP DOGs in each agency, seems to be protecting the USA.

I fully support the USA being protected but do we need three agencies with well paid directors and sub directors doing this? Why not have one agency? One well paid director, less well paid sub directors and one point, protecting the USA?

Take the military, please.

I don't know the whole bit but there seems to be an Army, an Air Force, a Navy, a Marine Corps, a Coast Guard, a Merchant Marine and who knows what else?

Could even one of you STATE we need as many generals or admirals as we have in comparison to working, qualified majors or commanders? In comparison to the number of qualified, working E6 ratings?

Why do each of the combative services have their own flight training programs with attendant upper level generals who are paid more than the pilots? Flying is flying.

Really, is flying for the Army different from flying for the Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard?

Further, each of the combative services has their own "special forces." Why?

We have some seriously kick-ass fellows out there protecting us but do we need so many special schools, with their own well paid directors, training SEALS, recon Marines, Air Force and Army Rangers and who knows what else like Delta Force and maybe the President's Man?

In civil service there are the well paid top dogs in police and firefighting. The heroes of these departments always deserve our respect but does there need to be two well paid top dogs helping us? Why not one with decently paid underlings?

Consider other civil servants. For instance public housing's dozens of bureaus. Who is served here except the top dogs with their expanded salaries?

Take all those czars some moron came up with like a drug czar. What is that? Does the USA want even a single czar? We tried to trash the Russians who suffered under czars. Do we want czars?

That sort of thing. Duplications in government that are top heavy in management and salaries and simply duplicates in actions. I vote that we prune duplications NOW.

Pare our government to the bone. EVERYONE of us citizens will benefit at the bank with less taxes EXCEPT the top dogs in the duplication bureacracies.
